About the Parke County Historical Society

The Parke County Historical Society is dedicated to preserving, protecting, and sharing the rich history of Parke County, Indiana. Through education, preservation, and community engagement, the Society works to ensure that the stories, landmarks, and artifacts of our county are saved for future generations.

Founded by local historians and community members who recognized the importance of safeguarding Parke County’s past, the Society serves as a trusted resource for residents, researchers, and visitors interested in local history.

MEETINGS

The Parke County Historical Society holds regular meetings that are open to members and the public. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 5:30 pm at 503 W Ohio St, Rockville, IN 47872. Meetings often include guest speakers, historical presentations, and opportunities to learn more about Parke County history and ongoing preservation efforts.

Community involvement and public participation are encouraged.
